Steve’s Corner

So … for a long time now I’ve been thinking about creating a blog so I could have a place to go post some of my thoughts … I use Facebook for a lot of things but I have some ideas I’d like to share with the whole world.  I don’t expect that’ll really happen though.  Blogs are a dime a dozen, and mine will just be one more on the pile.  But who knows.  They say that the only immortality we’ll get is the influences we have on other people.  Maybe someone will come across my blog and see/hear something that changes their life.  All I can do is put it out there and see what happens.  I’ll create a “Steve’s Corner” category to tag those posts with, that way if you only want to read those you can use that to sort them out.

I’ll still be using this blog for my Trading On Up goals, and I’ll create a category tag for those posts as well in case you just want to read up on those.  I might as well give an update on that as well while I’m here.  I traded the car amplifier for an acoustic guitar about a month after I listed that trade.  I thought it was be fun to record a song or two with the guitar and post the songs up here before I trade the guitar away. I did record one song but I have some really cool technical ideas that I’d like to do but I don’t have enough technical knowledge of the recording programs to do what I want with the song. I’ve thought about posting a Craigslist ad for another musician (who knows the software better) to collaborate with but that’s on the back burner for now because I have to start studying to get a certification for my job.

As for trading the bike … I listed it a few times, no bites.  I didn’t bother relisting the ads over the winter but now that it’s summer again I think I’ll put the post back up and see what happens.
